With summer thinking about coming’ round (normally the temperature is near 100, right now its a lovely 79) I finally have some time to catch up on my planner. I use a Heidi Swapp memories planner to record the things that have happened so I don’t forget some of the better things that have happened, rather than the things that I had to get done. (Honestly, who wants there kids to look back and think “Wow, mom sure did lot of laundry” or “humm, there didn’t seem to be anything to do other than dishes”)
For the dates and journaling cards I used the Printable Letter Kit and the Printable Filler Card Set both from A Southern Lady’s Designs etsy shop which can be found here.
The 2×3 cards fill the center areas perfectly giving me somewhere to add a quote or two. My husband and children (and anyone else I have to give a written note to) always comment about my handwriting by the way. Some of the more frequent comments include-
What’s that word? nurphs? I don’t think that’s a real word.
Are you sure that’s a M, looks more like a R
how did you pass the second grade? My teacher would have made me redo that.
Yes, I have terrible handwriting, I always have. So rather than have to stress out about having to make a total mess of my planner, I colored in some of the cards to give a pop of color to the pages.
Problem solved! Now I don’t have to stress about other people trying to read my handwriting!! And let’s be honest, everyone enjoys coloring.
